The Telegraph

After he had invented the Telegraph during the 1830s to 1840s, Samuel Morse lived his later years as a rich man. His last years, however were ruined because of the help he got from people such as Joseph Henry. He had gotten many awards from foreign countries such as Portugal, Denmark, Spain, France, and many others, but he didn't get recognized in the U.S. Until 1871, when a bronze statue was made in Central Park. He later died on April 2, 1872 at the age of 80.
