When you write a summary, it is needed for you to clearly state the main ideas of the text you are summarizing. Make sure to make the summary in your own words, or you might be alleged for plagarism. Plagarism is copying another person's work without permission and saying it is yours; and using it for your own advantage. A summary needs to be short; that is the main purpose of a summary.
