What is an Outline?
Outlines
While you write a research paper, you might get lost; either if you don't know what to do, or your content is not organized and is all over the place. A simple method of keeping track of what you will do and getting organized for you stuff is called an Outline. Let's see what this thing can do.
What is an Outline?
An outline is a type of organization method which uses a hierarchical list to organize the main points of your writing piece; especially an essay. There are many types of Outlines; I will talk about the main three outlines.
1. Alphanumeric Outline
2. Full-Sentence Outline
A Full-Sentence Outline is an outline which is essentially an alphanumeric outline; but at each point a full-sentence is required.
3. Decimal Outline
Why are Outlines Useful?
Outlines can be useful in constructing ideas and organizing them in a order. By creating an outline before you make your actual paper, you can work steady on your paper and can have a sturdy foundation from the start that you can trust. By making an outline, you can develop many ideas that can help shape the thesis. You can create your own "instructions" on how to make your paper, just as if you are reading the instructions on how to put together your new desk you just bought.
