6 Ways to Type Faster

 6 ways to type faster.

In the modern age, it is crucial to know how to type. Typing faster can save time on almost anything you do on your computer; whether it is an assignment or if you're just searching for something. You don't need to spend a lot of time looking at the keyboard just to find your "." key. Instead, by following these simple steps, you will be able to type faster; thus becoming more efficient and another way to surprise your friends. Let's jump straight in.

1. Using Keyboard shortcuts
There are many keyboard shortcuts that can make your computer easier to controll. These include Copy , Paste, Print, Delete, Desktop, etc... I will tell you on how to use these shortcuts.

The most basic of them all is Copy and Pasting.
All you have to do is find a certain text or image or anything you can copy and press Ctrl + C. This will make the computer copy your source in the clipboard. To insert your source into any other place, you can Paste it by typing Ctrl + V.

Have you ever wanted to change the app you were on without reaching for the mouse? Then the perfect shortcut for you is Alt + Tab. This shows the menu of all the apps that are currently running. To change apps, all you have to do is to click the Tab button multiple times until you are on the app. If you want to clear our everything you have open, you can press Windows + D to go straight to your desktop. This shortcut does not take all your apps out, but it does take you to a place where I hope is clean. Do you want to know more about shortcuts? There is a complete list Here. (Windows)
2.  Practice your typing.
There are many typing sites that you can use for practicing your typing. Not only does practicing your typing make you type faster, but it also helps you remember where the keys are on your keyboard. Some examples of these sites are typing.com , 10fastfingers.com , keybr.com , and many other sites. Hop on and start practicing!

3. Use only the keyboard
To get more familiar with the Keyboard, you can also try to only use the keyboard. This method can help you practice your keyboard shortcuts that you have learn in previous times. When you want to print something, don't use the mouse to print it; just press Ctrl + P! Can you see that it is much faster and easier to print with keyboard shortcuts?

4. Don't Look at the keyboard
Many amateur typers tend to look at the keyboard when they are typing. This can be inefficient because you will have to change your eyesight every time you want to look at the monitor. If you remember where the keys are, you will be able to look straight at the monitor, and think about what you are going to type. Not how you are going to type. Not only does this make to type faster, it makes you more creative by eliminating thoughts about the keyboard.
5. Keep your hand in position.
This is a very basic skill, so I won't go in detail. Put your index fingers on the F and J key, and your other fingers on the keys that are next to the 2 keys. That is the standard position when you type.
6. Have fun with it; challenge yourself
When you type, it can be boring some times. You can try to make your own game and challenge yourself; for example, try to beat your highest score on your typing test, or compete with others. Using this method, you can have fun while you are learning how to type as well. Better to do two than one, right?

That is all I have for today. The most important thing I think about this is to practice you typing, try not to look at the keyboard while you are, and try to have fun when you are practicing. I hope you got advice on how you can type faster; I hope you have a good day! Have fun typing :)
